What you'll do on a typical day:
Perform inspection of machine parts and castings utilizing various inspection techniques and equipment to assure functional performance according to drawing specificationsReceiving Inspection and test of incoming material received at other sitesProvide validation and disposition of actual defects for both Hardware and Documentation Quality Notifications (QN).
Participate in cause and corrective actions to alleviate production difficultiesWhat you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Extensive experience with Open Setups to inspect orientation, location and form.
Extensive experience with blueprints, MIL-STDs, technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documentsWorking knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and WordStrong reading, writing, verbal and presentation skills for interaction at various levels of management and within the organization.
Ability to work within a technical environment developing/implementing practical solutions to a range of challenges in quality systems, process control, and materialsIncoming and/or Production InspectionHave interpersonal skills and ability to work well with employees, teammates, and customersEffective written and verbal communication skills that allow for proper and precise result descriptionsExperience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as SAP (PRISM)Candidate should have a strong desire for safety and securityMust be able to support on weekends and extended hours on a surge basis.
Ability to perform job assignments with little to no assistance.
